All-around effort leads Black ops past Destroyers
An impressive two-way performance from Allen led Black ops to a 2-1 win Saturday over Destroyers, as Allen came up huge at the dish and on the rubber.
It was a good day at the plate for Black ops' Allen. Allen went 2-2 and scored one run. She doubled in the first inning and singled in the third inning.
Destroyers couldn't get anything going as long as Allen was pitching. Destroyers managed just two hits off of Allen, who allowed no earned runs, walked four and struck out five during her four innings of work.
Black ops held off Destroyers, as Destroyers was unable to overcome a two-run first inning deficit.
Destroyers scored one run in the fourth on. Despite its efforts, Destroyers couldn't get over the hump.
The lead stayed with Black ops after the first, when it scored two runs on an RBI single by Kasey.
