  • Why Play Fall Ball?

    The Fall season is a great opportunity for players to continue to build on skills and experiences from the prior spring season as well as a great way to gain exposure for the girls who will be moving up to the next division. Moving up divisions typically involves a larger ball and further pitching distance. While there is significant focus on fundamental skills, the season remains competitive when playing with other North County League teams. 

  • When Does Fall Ball Start?

    The season begins with player evaluations in mid- to late-August. Player evaluations are designed to ensure players are placed on teams based on their skill level, with an aim at maximizing their development during the season. The first games are scheduled in early September, typically the Sunday following Labor Day weekend.

  • Who is Eligible?

    PGSL forms  teams at 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U divisions. For division age eligibility, see the USASoftball Age Chart.


  • How can I Get Involved?

    As an all-volunteer league, we rely heavily on the generous time and passion of our adult league members to help provide coaching instruction and leadership to our players. Coaching is an exceptionally rewarding experience, and most of our coaches return year after year due to their positive experiences. If you are interested in coaching a team this season, please complete and submit an application. 

  • What is the Cost?

    Player registration fees cover field use, umpires, uniforms, maintenance and other league operating expenses. For players in 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U, the fee is $195. 

    Tball (6U) registration is $125 (no cost for umpires).


  • When and Where are Games and Practices?

    GAMES: Most Fall Ball teams participate in the North County Fall Ball League at locations throughout the North County area. Some games are played at our home field at Aubrey Park in Poway - others are played in Rancho Penasquitos, Scripps Ranch, Rancho Bernardo/4S Ranch, Escondido, and as far north as Carlsbad and San Marcos.  North County Fall Ball leagues schedule double-header games each SUNDAY throughout the fall season.


    PRACTICES: Practices for teams will be located in Poway.  We typically use Aubrey, Starridge, Silverset, and Valle Verde fields. Coaches will select practice locations and days. 1-2 practices each week per team is expected for 8U-14U. Tball(6U) practices 1 day a week.
